Budget Breakdown
Here's a rough breakdown of the cost:
Flights
I believe I paid even lower flight fare in 2018. But I've accidentally deleted the flight ticket, so I used benchmark of Jetstar's recent promotion. If you missed it, don't worry - based on historical data, Jetstar have weekly~biweekly sales, just subscribe to their mailing list.
Assuming $79 one way/person; 2 person round trip equals to $316.
Transport
After googling "Cheap Hoi An car rental" and inquiring several vendors for quotation, I found hoianbudgetcarrental.com to be the most affordable. With slight negotiation, we landed at 80 USD for my itineraries:
Hotel/Accommodation
Stayed at Flower Garden Homestay in Hoi An.

This source claims that average meal cost/day for 1 person is VND 171,049. Converting it to SGD, that's ~$21/day for 2 person's meal. As you can see here, $120 allowance for activities & food is more than sufficient.
